Is this easy or hard to pull open and close for an 80 year old elderly couple?
No. As long as it is ground level it slides easily. When you retract it there is a little pull but not much.

Can it be installed on the ceiling instead of floor?
Hi, our awnings are not suitable for installing on the ceiling. It's better installing on the floor. Thanks.

Can this be staked into the grass ground ?
sorry it can't, the base needs to be drilled and embedded but the grass is not strong enough

Is the receiving post removable?
Yes. The receiving post can be moved by removing the four bolts holding it in place.

The post is 78”, how tall is the screen itself?
The size for each side screen is: 74.8H x118W.

Does the long column require a wall or can i just screw the ends into a deck?
You need a wall for the main column. It comes with two little brackets which screw into the wall and the the column mounts to that. Now the little column which just holds the screen stretched is designed to screw into the flooring or decking or whatever.
